Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap

Let's have a major recap, starting from ... the day after I posted Tis-n-Tat. By the way there is another new post under this one - it's posted earlier today.

Definition of last week: Torture, buffed with Tarukaja, Bravery, Heat Riser, Power Charge, Makakaja, Mind Charge and all that. The Geography project kept everyone staying up late (unconfirmed for all, but confirmed for me). It was frustrating, especially when your parents are inconsiderate enough to ask you NOT to do the work and doubt you about what you are doing on the computer. Well, according to my father, back in his days they don't do these things and they freaking don't need computers to do their work -.-" ... Yes, there are people like him in this diverse world. Whenever he asks me to go to sleep, my usual line is, "Hello, the teachers don't care about your health. You can have your work done and you at a point of extreme fatigue but the teachers will remain indifferent. But when you don't finish your work, brace yourself for incrimination." But of course, thankfully people like Mr Danny are considerate enough to allow me to sleep for a certain amount of time (I slept in his test for 30 minutes). This is what I consider real sleeping, not WCSD, due to the fact that I bear the need, the want to sleep. WCSD is automated, and its nature is more akin to that of rebooting than real sleeping. James, I hope you see the reason why now. Maybe for some reason you are able to get sufficient sleep, but I surely didn't, and I ain't the only one sleeping in class that week. Aight, boys?

On Wednesday there was an assembly. Mr Ling warned us about placing insults in your blogs. I'm safe from that warning, I guess. If there's really any form of insult in my blog, I'm sure I have apologized for them *nudge nudge*. As in foul language, I've never used anything further than 'damn' or 'dang'. I don't use dialect slangs like 'hao lien', 'kanasai' or 'sienz' because I don't think they are cool, but others think otherwise, duh. Most importantly, I don't use the f-word which Mr Lee frankly explained in his portion of the assembly. But I promised myself that should there be more anonymous warnings, I will delete the post where I insulted Mr Danny and Ms Connie. I mean, since those warnings are anonymous, I never know if they are directed towards me or not. Geez. One thing of note is that when Mr Lee went into that subject, he practically drove off Ms Voon Suan Ngo from her seat. I didn't observe the other teachers - Ms Voon was kinda close so a glance or two was fine for me. I didn't dare observe too long to avoid any eye contact with any of teachers. During that assembly I sat next to Sharon and Dawn, with Lester in front and Vincent at my back. I'm not very sure actually about who being sitting behind me, but I digress. Do correct me if it was someone else, those of you who noticed. On the teachers' side, Ms Voon was sitting with Mr Willie who sat with his left arm on the wall and right leg on left knee. Talking about that, let us sidetrack for a moment. Philemon (not really an official name) Kho Chik Sheng is a very funny guy. I just realized that despite mentioning his name a lot, I never really went into anything deeper about him. Unlike the other boys, his actions are kinda feminine, and that's not exactly a bad thing. Men don't have to be macho, strong or brave. That's gender discrimination according to Ms Lucilla by giving men a set of rules as to how they should act. I for one respect Philemon for who he is, and I think he gives himself identity. So whenever he's about to seat himself onto any seat other than when he's about to eat, he will place his right leg on his left knee, naturally in a flawless fluid motion. Well, I will mimic his movements in fast forward speed, then before my right leg reaches the left knee (in slow motion) I will retract, with the "Eh what am I doing?" expression. It still cracks up the Philjannes trio and the Wilsuron trio. Of course, the Philjannes trio will soon be reduced to the Aglemon duo *sniff* adieu, Janna-chan! Have a safe trip and remember to buy us souvenirs! Let us reunite with the 11/03 assembly. Ms Elaine was sitting along in one of the rows at the front and she gave out some of the prizes. Ms Voon took off her glasses during the f-word part. Time didn't give me any chance to observe the others. The prefects working as MCs that day were Yvonne-senpai as the senior and the junior being Magdalene-senpai. The former was a bit dreamy ... or not.

Phoenix: Is ...
Franziska: She ...
Judge: HIGH!? Bailiff!

Yes, she did sound like she was onto some dope. It's a bit ditzy, so I like it.

On Friday, we were issued our holiday work. For BM, we have a 1080-questions objective paper. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy. Ms Wong gave us a pretty short worksheet on chapters 1 and 4 of 9th grade Science. One whole workbook for PK. By the end of the day, Jocelyn's Halibut is already Jessy's, Susan's chair got its name Kristoph and I realized that I had also named Daryl's chair earlier but forgot about it (it's Thalassa). During lunch I was with Yana-senpai in the Music Room. She left quite early (a prefect's travails ... ah, wonder if I'll get to experience it), leaving her stationery behind. So, I took the initiative to skim through her Biology reference book. Complex. Too complex. I don't even want to think about it. And I thought I will love Biology. I wonder now. Friday was also the release date of Resident Evil 5 for the PS3 and XBox 360 - I'm so jealous of those who own the said consoles. After the day's classes ended, I rushed for home, since I was leaving that night. I packed up fast. Let's go through what I brought. First off, I have this Camel sling pouch that I've been seen wearing during my outing to the Sarawak Museum weeks ago.

In it, I have Twilight for reading purposes, my NDS Lite for gaming purposes, my Apple earphones to be plugged into the DS and a packet of Kose oil films. Books are a must-have during travels, for those short moments of nothingness usually, like when you are at an eatery waiting for your food to be served or you're at a boutique waiting for the women to be done shopping. The time you have to wait is never predictable, thus books are perfect for burning through those moments since whenever the wait is finished, you can just slip in a bookmark and be off. The NDS Lite is also for moments like that, but I don't take it out if the noise is too excessive, because even my earphones cannot block out the noise from interfering with the game's sound. I recently got a new microchip for my R4 card - it holds up to 4 gigabytes, compared to the previous 2 gb chip it's way superior. The earphones' from my iPhone kit. The oil films are what James always asks from me. And whenever he does that there's bound to be someone else following suit and asking for oil films. The Twilight book is from the school library. I am the first to borrow it! Ms Lucilla personally bought it for the library in MPH. She sure likes going to MPH. I've seen her there last year but I didn't know whether I should greet her or not. It's not that I am disrespectful or anything, but usually I don't greet teachers who've never taught me before because it feels awkward and at times even teachers who teach me ignore my greetings so why should I bother with those who don't teach me? My DS's microphone is not functioning. Ugh. The owner of Game Boy Center at Hock Lee was at wits' end trying to fix it but failed, big time. I miss the microphone - without it, I can't use Twister or Street Jam psychs in TWEWY, play mini-games in Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure, yell in the Ace Attorney series and extinguish the candle's flame in Feel The Magic: XY-XX. Concerning the DS, I used to never play games that require the usage of the stylus when I'm outdoors because I want to avoid damaging the stylus. Now I freely play such games, such as Time Hollow or Magical Starsign, because instead of my stylus, I use the nail of my right index finger.Yes, the touch screen ignores any form of normal physical touch with the hand but it is indeed as sensitive to fingernails as it is to styli. But if your nail is too sharp it may scratch the screen, so be careful. It is also recommended that you use fingernails instead of double styli when trying to solve the electric switchboard puzzle in Hotel Dusk: Room 215 because for me it didn't respond very well to two styli at once. Okay, next! (BTW, I place the sling pouch over my left shoulder, to my right) Over my right shoulder, to my left is the bag that contains my camera. I got it last week, because I complained to my father that my iPhone's camera lacks flash and thus it captures crappy pics when in dark areas. The following night I came home from school to find a shopping bag on the dining table with a tripod beside it -.- ... what about my Ps3!? My XBox 360!? That camera costs more than a freaking 2, ooo!Well, I'm not really sure what model it is, I know it's a Canon and it's an EOS.

I will stop here. I've typed so long then Blogger just deleted everything. Thankfully I saved the first quarter of this post already beforehand, and that's what above this paragraph. I hate you, Blogger. These things ... ALWAYS happen to me. Once I was writing a review for P3 on GFAQs then I accidentally deleted it. This is the one major disadvantage with typing. If you write it out, chances of losing your work is less. If you keep your documents in a computer or a laptop though, it's practically taking a great risk. Actually I could've just postponed this post so that I can complete it but I don't want to disappoint Alfred any longer. Or anyone else. If there is any.

I’m Diggin’ It

Phil tagged me. Twice, actually, so yeah, doing two tags – we're kickin' it off with the 25 Random Things … thing, yeah.

  1. I like writing.
  2. I'm good with writing.
  3. I want to make a living with writing.
  4. I've been thinking of becoming a part-time attorney as well.
  5. But that suggestion is near scrapdom since Mr Jeff said we need to be good in History and sadly said subject isn't exactly my forte.
  6. I want to work as a writer because it would be easy to balance work and family.
  7. I don't want to be a workaholic like my father.
  8. I don't want more children to go through the same childhood as I did.
  9. When I get to University I really want to take Literature, English, Psychology and Culinary Arts.
  10. I am really eager to learn cooking. Can anyone teach me?
  11. I like gaming.
  12. I wanted to learn game programming in Japan, but scrapped the idea in 7th grade when I got dizzy learning HTML.
  13. I think I am a very loyal person.
  14. I like stopping my sentences before the person I am speaking to actually get my point with 'Nevermind.'
  15. I don't believe in religion, but I do believe in astrology and the paranormal.
  16. I really only enjoy texting with QQ on my phone.
  17. If you call me while my parents are around, bzzt, I will ignore you. If you deliberately call my house phone, I will speak to you in an extremely low volume.
  18. Both Harry Potter and Twilight aren't addictive to me – but the thought of living in either of the books' worlds is psychedelic. Especially living in rainy and cold Forks, oh do sign me up.
  19. I love rain. When it is raining, the water purifies the Earth – cleansing it of rubbish and people, things that litter the streets. It also shuts out all other noise, and I dig that.
  20. One main reason I hate noise is because of my father's yelling. It feels harmful. It's traumatic. I do not like going down from class during recesses – so much excessive noise.
  21. I always finish my lunch quickly and cleanly, and then shoot for the Music Room. It's my stage. I like to practice my voice-acting there, and carry out popular roles. I want to have a Drama Club in school. But I digress to the fact that not many people are really commited with these activities so I don't bother staging a petition for it.
  22. If I have a lot of homework, I will also use it (the Music Room) to do my homework. It's my Unofficial Drama Club and study. You can join if you want. Just register at the school secretary for the Study Room. Maybe you can go there and do some observing first and consider it. After all, it IS lunchtime. If you don't have interest in the UDC then don't bother participating. Going there to watch is a no problemo, yeah.
  23. I do not like MMORPG and FPS games.
  24. Demerit points won't cause me to lose sleep. Don't label me like those who scream like sissies when threatened with demerit points.
  25. I don't like thriller books, but thriller movies are usually win material.
The Personality Test:

Your view on yourself:

You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:

You are a true romantic. When you are in love, you will do anything and everything to keep your love true.

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:

You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you might that person.

The seriousness of your love:

You are very serious about relationships and aren't interested in wasting time with people you don't really like. If you meet the right person, you will fall deeply and beautifully in love.

Your views on education:

Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can.

The right job for you:

You're a practical person and will choose a secure job with a steady income. Knowing what you like to do is important. Find a regular job doing just that and you'll be set for life.

How do you view success:

You are afraid of failure and scared to have a go at the career you would like to have in case you don't succeed. Don't give up when you haven't yet even started! Be courageous.

What are you most afraid of:

You are afraid of things that you cannot control. Sometimes you show your anger to cover up how you feel.

Who is your true self:

You are full of energy and confidence. You are unpredictable, with moods changing as quickly as an ocean. You might occasionally be calm and still, but never for long.

I tag whoever's interested.

Tis-n-Tat

Um, I am clearly not 100% hypocriticism-free, but there's one part of the previous post that I really must clarify as to avoid being mistaken (again). Me writing on the chairs is somehow, yes, considered vandalizing. According to Wiktionary, vandalism is the act of destroying property. Well, I am not destroying property, by all means. I was doing charity work, as I've said. As one with a strong sense of justice, I garner high respect for rules and regulations, and value law and order. However, I find it logical to break rules that does not apply logic. I think vandalism is quite subjective, per se it doesn't really hold a definition that includes actions of altering property for the better. So I don't think I broke any rules as I did not actually cause any form of destruction - added to the fact that I never write obscenities on objects. THAT's more like vandalism. Feel free to report me, Jordan, if it makes you feel better. So long as I do not doubt myself, a few demerit points are pretty meh. And that is only if I'm actually demeritted. Psychologically speaking, I think it's likely that I won't be demeritted – I think the principal will, in fact, have trouble discerning my action. Since we are speaking about rules without logic, let us move on with the fact that we cannot eat in class. I think of myself as a clean eater (literally, yes, my lunch is always swiped clean unless there are unedible parts) – I don't see how I will dirty the class. Therefore, I am persistent with my habit of eating candy in class. As of now, the only people who actually caught me were Mr Cammy and Ms Lina (the substitute teacher for Ms Joanna last year). I didn't bother arguing, because I DID break a rule. Still, I will continue to do something so long as I see fit and that it is logical. I don't throw my candy wrappers on the floor like Jordan does with his nasty oil films. Blurgh. If it's a bad thing, I'm against it. If it's not, sure, I won't hesitate. I pick up obvious rubbish like that Vitagen bottle I saw lying right in the middle of the foyer with prefects around. Quite the shame, yes.

This is my second post for today so obviously it isn't going to be long. What? You came here expecting a longie? Aww, I'll pamper you … next time. Bzzt. While you're still here, do take your time to check out the 3 new links added to Affiliates (Ha) – namely Hilda Luk, Kevin Draper and Sharon Wong. Wait; did I just save you the trip from scrolling down?

Live Long, Die Fast

I'm … down with fever. Hopefully it lasts till Wednesday at least so I can skip school tuition on Tuesday. It started this afternoon when I suddenly felt real cold while playing my DS in an air-conditioned room. I guess I really shouldn't have gone swimming last night when I am already coughing. Anyway, I've taken medication, so I should be fine. I tried mixing Sprite with salt. It's really quite refreshing and cooling. Besides taking the custom Sprite, I also went for badminton, as usual. I let out a lot of perspiration, which is good for countering fevers. I played till quite late due to our new program, Night Stalker. It can only be done at night when we only use our hearing and estimation to identify the position of the incoming shuttlecock. It's a pretty nifty training to hone one's senses and reflexes. In case you were wondering – yes, I named it after the American serial killer Richard Ramirez. After coming home, I had an Icebun. I really made up the name – it's just ice cream in a burger bun. Mine was peppermint and yam ice cream – yammy (this pun is actually an original of mine)! My favorite flavor for nearly everything has always been peppermint. I like naming characters in my stories Mint, my close friends call me Mint and it's really quite a … cool name! There's actually a reason to it besides the fact that I crave peppermint. You see, back in 5th grade, I invented quite the prime communication system in class during the second half of the school year. It's the MoCoBu (pronounced moh-koh-boo), which is short for Mobile Communication Book. Basically, I have this really neat notebook that I use as some sort of a forum … or chatbook, as the others called it. In the first few pages there are rules and stuff. The rest are basically messages that we write down while passing the book through the class. There is a separate book, the Office (the first book mentioned is the Chatroom) – where people register down their personal profiles first and pick their personal username before they are able to use the chatbook. So, I called myself bad-mint-on, after the one and only sport I don't suck in doing. Everyone else in the chatbook refers to me as Mint, and obviously I am the administrator. People who broke rules are banned, though that rarely happened. And after watching the Galaxy Angel anime, I am further convinced that Mint would make a good name. Thus, I am really into that name. The system was cancelled in 6th grade, since most of the regulars are no longer in our class (in 6th grade we 6th-graders were split into two classes – Red for those weak in studies and Yellow for the higher-ups). I really hate that because I had to make new friends all over and I have quite a few really close friends in Red class. Those new classmates that were from Yellow before 6th grade are pretty stuck-up and annoying. Anyway, I was seated with this girl who really loathed me because I was extremely annoying. Eh, by the end of the year, she's already a friend. Yeah, I'm known to be able to press people over time to become friends.

These days I've been doing some underappreciated charity work in class. Basically, I am naming everyone's chairs so that identification is easy and they won't get them mixed up by writing on the chairs with Helena, my correction liquid. I myself am quite particular about this matter – I don't like using others' chairs, so I especially hate it whenever I came back to class just to find my chair gone. Anyway, this is the current roster of named chairs:

Wilson – Clarissa

Brandon – Barbara

Alfred – Zephyra

Karen – Gustaf

Philemon – Potpourri (I thought it's po-pu-ri, Phil)

Sharon – Seymour

Michael – Eve

Dawn – Enson

James – Jessica

Lester – Fatima (be honored, Lester, for you are sitting on Luminous Arc 2's Shadow Frost Witch)

Jocelyn – Halibut

I've been thinking of naming Susan's Kristoph. For some reason, the really boring people like Jordan, Jessy etc. doesn't want their chairs named. Oh well, it's their loss, not my problem. And there are those who are constantly complaining (Philemon & Jocelyn) - Phil mainly because he is one of the boring types but at least he gave in (reluctantly) – not knowing that he is sitting on the Verdure Witch. I chose Potpourri for him as their personalities are so damn alike! Yeah, I mean, they're selfish, pompous, annoying, arrogant and stuck-up cute, popular, sociable and stylish. Jocelyn just doesn't like the name Halibut. It's quite catchy to me (Hairy Butt), and the fact that there's no need to care so long as you can identify your own chair. Relax and breathe people. I personally intended to give not-so-pretty names, like Barbara, Enson etc. so bear with it. And those like Phil should appreciate their really cute names, geez. To those like Jordan though, stop acting like you are so mature and realistic. I was so happy when Jordan sat on Brandon's chair, just to get Brandon to say, "Why are you sitting on my Barbara!? Get off my Barbara!" and Jordan's mouth went a-gaping. IN-YURH-FACE, Jordan Teng. If you think I'm immature, you're practically insulting your own friend Brandon too. Also, he tries to act more mature during English class's War of the Sentences with his most disappointing line ever: "It's just a game." No, you just lack competitiveness, Jordan. Sports are also games, so why were the people who were close to attaining the Gold Medal in the Olympics but failed all so emotional? Get a grip of the real reality. If you are never serious in anything, eh, Vivi literally casted his Doomsday spell on you. I am not dissing Jordan, but just advising. It also hurt me pretty deep as a gamer and for all the other gamers in the world – we put effort into playing games, and we reap up knowledge and skills. It's like all that was for naught. Especially things that really took a lot of effort like beating Yiazmat in FFXII, getting to Level 9999 in NIS games etc. And what about the game developers who earn money from developing games? Maybe I am just a tad bit over-sensitive, but yeah, I was severely offended. Of course War of the Sentences (WotS) is nothing like that, but still. Please, very pretty please, don't team up with me just to hog the team down with your ennui. As a word of note, I never liked group assignments. You have to work with people, and that's very hard for me. Most of the time you can't trust your teammates (I've finally been enlightened to this fact after the past years being repeatedly disappointed when doing rehearsals for plays etc.). This is especially annoying when you yourself are fully committed with doing the job/project. Even my parents are irritated now. Whenever I say there's a group meeting at someone's house, they'll be objecting non-stop since it's ALWAYS a waste of petrol and time, but I will still argue for the sake of the group. It's really not worth it. The only time I am actually satisfied was last year when I was doing the project for History with Alfred and Co. at his house. Luqman didn't attend our meeting, but he still did his job well. We managed to finish way earlier than the other groups and I can't say I am disappointed in them at all. In fact, they can be trusted. I also love the group assignments way back in ELC – the results are always capable of making me content. In 5th grade I directed and wrote a play in ELC for the first time ever and it was a huge success. Everyone took heed of my advices with voices, costumes, script, and some even improvised. The best thing of all, they took good care of the props I provided. When I brought my swords to Lodge however, they were swiftly broken up by jerks. If there's any source of my bitterness other than my father, it's Lodgians. Well, just most of them. At least there are still people like Dawn or Eugene. I just don't really like people, I totally hate crowds, and I don't think I'll ever like people much. Quoting Edward Morrison, "If there is evil, it lurks in the hearts of men" (I'm not sure it's completely correct, I typed that from memory). But humans aside, there are still friends – exalted humans whom I can seek solace in. For that, I am very grateful. However, what is this world without the presence of scum?

Love Me Tether

Whoa, this must be the first time I have no idea what to blog about. So expect severe randomness and a post with different subjects scattered about.

I will be going on a vacation in the March holidays. From Monday to Friday, so that reduces me to only 4 days at home. Worry not, I got a laptop just in time for this dilemma. It's not bad, but I am yet to have time to customize it. It can detect my phone, so maybe I'll start using it as my main blogging medium from now on. IIRC, I am going to Guangzhou, China on Singapore Airlines. This marks my first time on a Singapore Airlines plane! If there's anything confirmed, it's that I will be bringing my DS and the laptop (mainly becuase my father needs it for his job - there, that's it ... In the future, I will keep myself out of work stuff when on vacation with family members). I have been pondering about whether I should bring my PS2 along or not. I mean, 4 days is too short, seriously. Not to mention I can't stay up late on the last Sunday. There are a few games that is already confirmed that Williew will resume playing - Odin Sphere (after a sickly hiatus), Silent Hill Origins (practically too scared at the first save point to play any further when I first got it) and of course, my dear P4. Currently I am focusing more on my DS games, since the PS2 has hardly any (good) new releases anymore and the fact that the DS has plenty of games that are just what I dig. I use a R4 card, and my games are mostly RPGs and Adventures with a single Horror. Games that are put on a break are cut-and-pasted over to my computer to save space. Those I am taking a break from include Final Fantasy III & IV, Exit DS and Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker.

Talking about DS games, I am yet again into another JP game. I mean, the US release is due June 23rd, I believe, so am I expected to wait that long when the game's so good? The game I am hinting is ... Megami Ibunroku Devil Survivor, which will of course be released as SMT: Devil Survivor.

Yeah, I know the main cast suspiciously resembles the P3 cast, especially the main trio (MCs, Yuzu & Yukari, Atsuro & Junpei). The plot involves a 7-day survival like in TWEWY, just that this one is set in the whole of Tokyo and not Shibuya. Anyway, the characters have gadgets called COMPs which resemble the DS physically. Atsuro, the whiz kid (who somehow for some weird contradictory reason has low MAG growth but focuses on STR and END) just happened to hack into a folder in the COMP which releases the first three demons the protagonists have to fight. Upon victory, they become party members. The COMP can thereby be used to receive mails from others, enter auctions to purchase new demons, view character profiles, perform demon fusion, save data and change the game settings. If my memory serves me dutifully, this should be the first SRPG SMT game. When attacking, the screen experiences a transition to a battlefield in first-person view where allies and foes dish out attacks. It's pretty cool, and I will still grab the US release when it's out. The game features multiple endings, so I guess it can last till I get the US release.

Let's just say that the DS really has awesome games. Compared to the PSP, the DS falls behind in term of graphics and sound, but makes up with more quality games. I have thought of getting the PSP ... but heck, that may take a few more years. I really want to concentrate on my writing competitions since there is prize money to be won, but I can't really focus with all the school projects hogging me down. Can the Education Ministry please explain the use of these kerja kursus-es we are doing? Because if there's one thing I know for certain about it is that it severely takes up large chunks of our valuable time and causes unnecessary stress. I have really been thinking about ditching everything and focus on my short story, which I haven't even started and the deadline's due end of next month. The one thing pulling me back is whether or not I can actually win - if I can't win the prize money, it's really not worth it, and the story is not going to be returned. Argh, I am currently torn between my schoolwork and my own dreams. If I can request a personal special ability, I'd choose the power to manipulate time and space. I'd just freeze time and finish everything, because it just always seems that I must have SOMETHING to be finished, sheesh. Personally of course, I have not the slightest intention to be doing my projects. Then again, it's not like people care what I want. Thankfully, this year's PK project is much smoother, thanks to Mr Jeffrey who doesn't reject every single piece of my work. It actually gives me the motivation to finish quick. I am worried about the woodwork, because I heard he's quite strict on that part and I suck doing woodwork. *sigh* But no worries, no matter how strong the gale and blinding the lightning, Williew will always pull through.

Have you guys heard of the recent petitions in West Malaysia? The petitions against PPSMI - teaching Science and Mathematics in English. According to recent news, the higher-ups of those petitions think that people learn better in BM and it is our national language. I will not try to sound biased with my opinions. The main point is the blatant injustice in their claims. They practically ruled out people who learn better in English. As a student, I find English easier to understand than BM. BM isn't too bad for me, but when compared I really find English to be much easier to understand. While this may be unrelated, I prefer writing English essays, mainly because people prefers reading them and even teachers appreciate them. Whenever I write fictional BM essays, I never get high marks from teachers. They always complain that I drag things around (exactly what my mother remarks - berleter-leter). To top things off, starting next year it is fully factual for us. It is as if they are trying their best to make BM boring. Well, I am never really against factuals - I sometimes write non-fictionals myself, but every single factual BM topic is so freaking CLICHED every year and keeps getting recycled that I'm nigh bored dead. They could have made it more fun by asking us to write philosophical ones - on second thoughts, no, because BM teachers also do not like that (last year I did 'Death' as my oral speech topic in Ms Siti's class and obviously the reaction wasn't very convincing). Factual English essays are fun, you get to stuff in lots of words and quotings. Not to mention I really love musing with things. Now, back to the main topic. I think those petitioners are deliberately trying to stall us from grasping the international language (English) because probably they themselves aren't so good with it so they are jealous that we get to be more knowledgeable than they are. Just my opinions. If they have so much time to burn through, they might as well petition to ban kerja kursus instead. If we learn Science and Maths in BM, we surely can't do very well overseas. I mean, the rest of the subjects are already in BM! Why are they so selfish!? They should be thankful that we students don't go on strike asking for all the other subjects to be taught in English! Get real - we will really only need BM that much if we plan to never modernize and jsut stay the way we are in this sheltered place called Malaysia that is quite the hypocrite - makes up urbanization challenges to be achieved but at the same time tries to slow doen progress. You're such a jerk, Malaysia. What disappoints me most is that the petitions even got the support of A. Samad Said - I expected him to be quite wise. Pity, he chose to side against English.

It's, like, I have work to do, so, like, I gotta bounce. BTW, I never knew this is how bimboes talk, I am just imitating the way Ini Miney talks in PW: JFA.

Guilty As Charged

Note: This post's PTC is NOT referring to the song of the Gym Class Heroes - Estelle collaboration. It's something else and after reading the hint in the PTC section I bet Dawn can get the answer.

Today was ... fun, I suppose. Especially BM and English, yesh. The only thing that made me unhappy was Scouts late in afternoon. Ugh, let me start with BM. The axis upon which the whole BM class revolved on was Jonathan himself. So I bet today's BM class was exclusive for 3A ^_^. Anyway, for Johnny's sake, Mr Danny went over last year's Pantun Perpisahan, this time with emotion. Anyway, in the second half of the lesson, Jon-kun got to express all his favorite memories of everyone. Here's the list:
1. Janna: For always hitting him in elementary school.
2. Elisa: For being manly.
3. Joel: For being pai kia.
4. Sharon: For being sarcastic.
5. Edbert: For being a nice friend, for having hair that can never be straightened and for liking someone (*cough* Top student in 3A = ? *cough*).
6. Philemon: For his (Phil's) hair.
7. Jocelyn: For being a good friend (so he says ...).
8. Jack: For being extremely annoying.
9. Susan: For being one of his main homework-copying suppliers.
10. Agnes: For lending him homework to copy but showing a mean face.
11. Daryl: For his angry expression.
12. Jordan: For Jordan's muffins.
13. Alfred: (uh ... bummer, I don't remember)
14. Williew: For not being able to use simple English, for being funny (Sexy beam SHOOT-OUT! Yes, this is from Silent Hill 3) and for ... being huggable?
15. James: For lending stationery that end up lost (according to James, 20 pens missing thus far).
16. Dawn: For being his best friend.
17. Yi Yong: For being someone he can endlessly argue with (methinks).
18. Jessy: For being nice and yet another supplier.
19. Shahiran: (eh ...)
20. Yiew Chiew: For having fair skin.
21.  Karen: For being a good friend.
22. Lester: For being cool.
23. Michael: For his extraordinary unique actions.
24. Vincent: For looking like a drug addict.
25. Derrick: For being rich.
26. Brandon: For being holy and ... horny? Weird combination, but whatever.
27. Fira: For making him cupcakes.
28. Adrenne: For being so popular.
See, like, my EHEM Memory (to make it shorter, let's just use EHEMM) is 98% accurate? To rack up the suspense, I am still not going to talk about it. Heh.

For English, we got to play a vocabulary game after quickly finishing our work. Well, the victory condition is to have the most team members by the end of the game. Anyway, teams of 3 - 4 people need to come up with an extremely difficult word and answer questions from other teams that may lead to the word. I used 'holocaust' as my trump card but I didn't suspect Sharon'd know. The other word in my mind was 'laceration', which I really should have used. Well, anyway, if you manage to guess a team's word, you can recruit one of its members. Well, I got dragged into Sharon's team, but later I won another new member, Derrick by bulls-eyeing his team's easy word, 'zephyr' ... they said they learned it from Pokemon. Ah, Falkner's Zephyr Badge. I never got to play the Kanto and Johto games, but yup, I do my research. I learned it much earlier from Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage (was it 2?) on the PSX. I was already playing that in kindergarten, haha. These days I'm too lazy to play platformers
anymore ... sigh ... well it's not my fault. As you can see, ex-quality-platformers are now doing it awfully in the market ... series like Spyro and Crash Bandicoot. Shame, when I really liked them back on the PSX.

Anyways ... argh Scouts Club is infuriating! Last year I submitted the form to join Scouts since most of the boys in class said they'll join. Jerks, all of them. I am the sole 3A boy. The rest of the Form 3s just deemed me invisible and I'm reduced to joining the ranks of those International Noises. Okay, most of the team are normal people. Then, we just must have a bunch of freaks. Actually, just two boys. They are so zetta annoying! One says stuff like, "My father is a scout. My uncle is a scout. My grandfather is a scout." During practical sessions, he always runs off his accomplice who is equally annoying to do something else. Can someone kick them out? Please? For my heart's sake, as I can't bear too many Noises? Anyway, they are just ... childish, arrogant, annoying, and makes me want to beat
them to a bloody pulp. Finally, FINALLY, Mr Sinclair reprimanded the freaks today. I wish they will keep up with their antics until finally they are officially OUT. Out, I say. There's another jerk in my team. He's
practically the loser of the group, and tries to stick around the aforementioned freaks (because freaks just attract more freaks) but still gets rejected. So he was sitting on one of the Lecture Theater benches alone, and I tried to be friendly and moved up to his row. "Um, can you go back?" That's it. I give up trying to get to know Noises. If there's something else I want to mention, it's that one of those freaks (I am mentioning the name wide because evil people need to be fully exposed) - Etienne Goh from the International School stepped on the LT bench he's sitting on. I so wished that I was a prefect and I can just ... wait, offence slips don't work on people from other schools huh? Grr ... GRR! I didn't get to be a prefect in my elementary years, so this time I really wish to get to don the tie! I've never worn a tie before! And anyways, prefects are envoys of supreme justice! As a keen observer, I know the best spots to catch all the offenders ... because my motto is 'Justice For All'. Well, of course, I will do some reasoning ... but most of the time, I don't see why the Noises' reasons are valid at all. Still, I won't land a verdict without reasoning, of course. That is justice! Sadly, Eugene chose me as his Temperance instead of Justice. But nevermind, that still fits.

Tomorrow may be the last time I see Jon-kun. Kufufufu. I am expecting fun in classes tomorrow.

Me Time Is Free Time

Phew - Mr Danny finally said that he's putting a full stop to this thing. I always love major incidents in my life like this one - I can rank up on my The Fool Social Link! Well, The Fool is supposed to be the self in its growing period. So I guess I learned a thing or two from this, and thus grew a rank! I mean, this is reality. There's no Midnight Channel or Dark Hour, so we gotta, like, grow from these in-life travails. I guess ... um ... my blog can be back to normal now? My point is, constant serious posts are not really my cup of tea. Or my cup of coffee, since I prefer coffee over tea. Tea is luxurious and elegant, but coffee is what I favor for the noir feeling it imbues. I love Boss coffee, exclusive from Suntory. Um, does Williew ever turn down Japanese products? Heh, I guess not. Talking about Japanese culture, let me introduce free schools to my Malaysian readers who are in the dark.

Technically, free schools do not originate from Japan. Nevertheless, there are quite aplenty in Japan. Free schools are schools for people of all ages who for some reason of their own are unable to attend normal schools. They are not necessarily people with special needs. They may be NEETs (Not currently engaged in Education, Employment or Training), social outcasts, asocials, or traumatized of education. The education system varies depending on the country the free school is in. Classes are all optional. Students have the liberty to choose whether or not to attend. Free schools focus on building all the inner qualities of their pupils. Once the students are back on track, they can choose to go back to normal schools or stay.
Public examinations are still available, of course. There are manga libraries, video games and such in free schools (in Japanese ones, at least). I've been reading two shoujo series that both focus on life in free schools: Cat Street and The Wandering Class. Cat Street is more popular but the latter's more into the free school thing. If there's one thing I like about shoujo manga, it's that I get to take a break from all those battle-oriented shonen manga and get more self-development. I don't think that shoujo manga is exclusive for girls - that's sexual discrimination. It's the same, the other way round. There are plenty of girls who are into shonen. Most of the Noise where I live in are just ignorant (Noise, of course, refers to humans I see as foolishly foolish foolhardy fools who do foolishly foolish foolhardy acts in this world that should be foolproof ... and yes I know I am speaking like Franziska von Karma). Anyways, while chasing a runaway problem student, the main character who is a teacher at Kirihito Gakuen (the free school) stops to talk with the director mid-chase. The director gave a very insightful description of free schools during the talk:
D: Can I ask you one thing?
T: Fo sho.
D: Am I a guy from the lower-class?
T: Huh? What're you talking about? Of course you're from the higher-class!
D: Really?
T: Why do you ask me that?
D: Because of what you said. Last time I was also a school dropout (the runaway's a dropout).
T: What!? But you're a doctor (he's both the school director and a doctor) right?
D: Yup. I didn't go to high school (for all the ignorant Noise, your Forms 1, 2 and 3 are junior high grades, yeesh, so stop saying 'high school'!). But I did the entrance exams and made it to university. Because your education was complete, and you are are surrounded by the same type of people, you must have been in the dark ... that in this world, there are many people who can't reach their destination directly, but stop somewhere first. Even though for those who see from afar they look like they're lost, actually that's an important moment for them. When they decide to return to return to mainstream, they can leave Kirihito Gakuen. So isn't it good that there's at least one school that reach out to them and say, "Feel free to linger around first."?

I felt really bewitched by that speech. If there were free schools around, I would definitely study there. The school standards doesn't matter - you really just need that moment of tranquility in life and recuperate. You gather yourself together, and go back out to the battlefield. So isn't AMGC (Anime Manga Game Cosplay) beneficial for us? Schools may teach us academic stuff, but AMGC teaches me both academic and personal things. I grow a lot from AMGC, while there's really only growth in knowledge and physique while in school. Last year, a lot of the boys have problems understanding 'mode' in Maths. But even in elementary school
I already know what modes are, since the Indonesian translation of the Doraemon manga used the term once to replace 'trends'. So last year I immediately knew that mode is used in the context of trend, like the trend of certain statistics, so it really helped me to understand. Due to my EHEM (Evil Housing Estate Manager) Memory, I can remember all those important things in AMGC, so it's no big deal. Of course, I will explain what EHEM Memory is. Probably in the next post.
This time I feel too lazy to make a long post, so I'll end here.

p/s: I translated the dialogue from Indonesian, which  was translated from Japanese! I did mention I bought a whole box of tankobons while in Jakarta, right? And Michael asked me about my desktop wallpaper, so here it is:

TWEWY, the characters featured are Beat, Rhyme, Shiki, Neku and Joshua; clockwise from top.

Cornered Rat Bites Cat

I am pulling back all my words against Ms Connie. For some reason, she had a change of heart and became a really nice person suddenly. She even pulled a joke yesterday, which was so unexpected we didn't even get to laugh. Personally, I really feel like deleting that post that resulted in quite a controvery - not. More like a fuss.

On Mr Danny's side of things though, um, I've done all I can Phil, so please forgive me if I am unable to apologize directly. Because you should know that I am unable to speak to adults with ease. The gap between adults and kids was explored in Wild Arms: The 4th Detonator. My mindset is like those of Jude Maverick's, Yulie Athreide's, Arnaud G. Vasquez's and Raquel Applegate's - people who have been constantly betrayed by adults. I don't want to confront Mr Danny only to be flamed. I don't think and can ever fully trust adults. You have proof, Phil, that he'll forgive me? I already stated clearly that I don't need his forgiveness. He can bear a grudge against me, spread news about me among the teachers, or even sue me. I mean, those ARE his rights. At least I know that I have realized that I hurt him, regretted doing so, and apologized openly. I am never good speaking in person - you can ask Sharon, I can talk about more stuff and she understands better through chatting. If you guys are really mad at me for hurting your beloved Mr Danny, fine, I'll try to find an opening and say sorry. I don't expect to be friends with him, just student-teacher is a good enough mutual relationship. I still physically punish myself to avoid from falling asleep so I won't hurt him further. His implication of me hurting him is enough for me to use Edbert as my voice in BM class. If I really have something personal against him, I might as well ditch everything he teaches and do my essays in his classes instead. I still have the MPH-Alliance Bank and the Scholastic. And If I actually manage to win there's prize money. The former competition especially has sufficient enough prize money to net me one or two of the 7th-generation home consoles. But it proves that I really only foolishly offended him on impulse without further consideration. If he thinks this is all a duri dalam daging, I am thinking that this is a pedang dalam sanubari or a pelayaran di atas bahtera kesedihan, because I have to deal with my father at home too. I know the word hedonistic because I am trying my best to be hedonistic outside (this is a white lie, I learnt the word from Resident Evil Outbreak: File #2), since obviosuly I am internally more pessimistic than I really am optimistic. Um, sometimes I don't really know myself. Am I really this bitter and nihilistic? I
guess it's only at school. When with people I can actually relate to, it never feels better to be able to act like a kid. But then again, I still have these negative thoughts even when outside school. We are supposed to pursue our true self ... but it's so hard when you can't even identify your true self. Once you create too many masks for the self, the original persona is at the risk of being buried eternally. Last year after finishing P4 on the 21st of August at 5 a.m., I pondered a bit about my real identity. Who am I? Urk ... I feel faint.

The school's badminton competition is held during the March holidays, so I can't join, as I will be in China for that one whole week. I will have my DS there with me, which is good; but the very knowledge that my father's there and my PS2's not there and there's no badminton makes me feel uneasy. If my father's there, Williew-haters can rest assured that I won't get a tranquil holiday. If my PS2's not there, that means I will practically be wasting holiday time without getting to play. No badminton equals possibly nil exercise. Ergo, I can expect an increase in body mass after the vacation. But I do so love going to new places, and though I've been to China before, it was seriously eons ago and I need new memories of that place to compensate the faded memories. Talking about badminton, Mynci's being a very good coach. Aside from Bike Stryker, we have other programs:

1. Speedy Cat
If you play TWEWY, you should know that Speedy Cat is a set of 3 special Pins (Righty Cat, Brainy Cat and Lefty Cat) of the Gatito brand. Well, the meaning here is emphasized on the words 'Speedy', 'Righty' and 'Lefty'. If I'm on the left side of the road, Mynci will deliberately direct his receive towards the
far right, and vice versa. Ergo, I have to move fast, really fast. That's 'Speedy', as this training is mainly to develop speed. I gave the name, for obviously Mynci doesn't even know about TWEWY.

2. Scales of Justice/Libra/Balance
I haven't decided on the name in fact. Personally I like the first. Mynci's with Balance. All we have to do is to keep passing the shuttlecock back and forth. Sounds simple and all, but ... nope. This training program develops a few stuff:

(a) Accuracy

It is only natural to feel increasing anxiety as the shuttlecock is passed around and the number of hits rack up. If you can't focus, you will easily miss the shuttlecock. And with focus comes accuracy. Accuracy is also tempered in a way that we will need to try hitting Drive As (Drive Aerial, basically high shots) as it will be easier for the partner to receive. I tend to screw up and do Drive Cs (Drive Cataclysm, low shots) or even Smashes, so this is good to train one to know what Drive to use when faced with certain situations. The other Drive is Drive B (Drive Body, middle shots). Of course, Drive Cs are rendered useless in formal courts with nets.

(b) Control
I'm running out of time so I'll make this short. For offensive players like me, we need to learn to suppress our strength. Using too much force will end up ruining the tempo.

(c) Synchronization
Good if you are playing Doubles. Here you will learn to trust your partner and know his strengths,
weaknesses and personal tempo. Trust is important, especially for those like me. I tend to go for
the ball all the time even when in Doubles, so when doing Balance on the street, I must not try to
traverse the road bumper (that is the border) and hit the shuttlecock for Mynci. I will need to believe
in him. Once you know his weaknesses, you can try to complement him with your own abilities
in matches.

Like, I gotta catch the Midnight Reading Express?
