August School Holidays (Part 1)
It has been two weeks since our latest school hols, and man, did it sped through. Here's a recap of things:
1st day - I spent my day playing Persona 4 (The JP version, duh). Naoto joined the party, and I cruised through her dungeon for the second time to beat the optional boss, Vessel of Dispute and obtain her secret weapon, Alger(n)on. Then my friend visitted, since the night before I told him I've got new games in. So we tried out 2
multiplayer games I purchased over at Hong Kuok 99 (Gundam Musou Special &
Naruto: Narutimate Accel 2). No, I am not a Naruto fanboy. Bought it because my buddy loves all things that revolve around Naruto. Not a bad fighting game for one that is anime-based, in my opinion. For GMS, let's just say Koei just ... provided fans of the Dynasty Warriors a new twist. Both are in Japanese ... but of course, I can play with ease. By 5:00 p.m., my father asked me out to go jogging at the stadium. So, yeah, I went; it means one step closer to being my idol after all (burning carbs). I walked for 2 laps, then jogged the remaining 6. I was so overjoiced with my new achievement, I texted my friend Sharon immediately that my stamina now allows a full 6-lap jog. I'm sure my idol would be proud ... hopefully.

2nd day - Woke quite late since I went for a P4 drill till 3 a.m. I had to go down to the city for tuition during the afternoon. Pretty much a waste of time. Heck, we learned nothing new. I went because I thought we are going to have a monthly test that day. Then ... nope, there ain't no test. To add insult to injury, I sat next to a smoker (at my same age!) who was infected by the flu.
So, yeah, to everyone at school, he infected me with severe coughing. After tuition, not only I can't go straight home, but I had to go to the Boulevard hypermarket (I ain't acknowledging no shopping complexes as malls unless they have these two: bookstore and games store). So, I strayed off into Popular alone and searched high and low for another book by Sophie King. No dice. Went searching for Darren Shan books (got interested by the manga). No dice-r. I don't want to make it seem like a waste going there, so I picked up a tankobon of Case Closed/Meitantei Conan/Detective Conan and went off. Drats. I spent time to go to a place like that and I don't get to meet my idol. Then it hit me that he'd be staying at home. The Beijing Olympic was having badminton events that day. Malaysia netted itself a silver that night. Yay. I only watched the last bit where our player's (LCW) nearing certain defeat. Oh well, it pretty
much sparked not the least bit of emotion in me, and I trodded up back into my
room for more P4.
To be continued, I guess.
