We Netted Ourselves 2nd Place
... in the Merdeka performance. When most of us were negative about it. I pretty much gave up hoping when we weren't announced for either consolation prizes, but never had I thought we'd end up 2nd. 2nd, really. A big surprise indeed, so I guess the other classes except 4B were maybe just not as stellar. This year's 7th graders are (surprisingly) disappointing, compared to us last year. I expected something worthwhile, at the very least. One thing that striked me as peculiar is the abscence of Junior V. Hmm. Maybe she thinks she's too good for these lowly performances. Who knows? Us 8th graders are pretty good IMHO, but I really thought that 2B was able to claim a prize, 3rd at least (given the expressions that I caught on the judges' visages, and the fact that I personally liked it). I have another personal comment, but to avoid (possible) controversies. Thanks anyway to everyone in class who made our performance a blast. Kudos especially to Jocelyn, yeah.
I just finished reading the entire series of 20th Century Boys. In my opinion, it was an awesome ride from the start till the end. I believe it to be the manga series with the best storyline ever. It's really worth the massive fanbase, unlike others like Naruto which is clearly overrated by fanboys globally (I may acknowledge of Naruto if it can pry even the least bit of personal emotion from me, and 20th CB did a good job squeezing out tears from me more than once). Naoki Urasawa has a real eye-catching style of descriptive art, and though seemingly old-fashioned, I've developed an interest for it throughout my venture through the world of 20th
CB. Currently, I am reading the sequel, 21st Century Boys. By this post I would like to express my gratitude to all those over at Hawks_MS and Manga-Heaven for the quality in translating 20th CB for free.
I am currently blogging in the school's computer lab. The only way I can blog on Wednesdays really, since I have Maths tuition right off the bat after club. Ja, mina.
