August School Holidays (Part 2)
A continuation of my last post ...
3rd day - I'll skip days with nothing special to mention.
4th day - So, um, I went to school today because Jocelyn phoned me to the day before. Actually I did virtually nothing. Except checking each others' phones out and holding a Sony PSP for the first time, that is. Basically I left quick to save time, and headed straight to the Riverside Cineplex with Yiew Chiew and Edbert for the first time ever. We were supposed to meet up with Sharon and Susan, but since they did not show up and time is rushing us, we bought ourselves 3 Wall-E tickets. Even though I strongly protested to watch Rogue instead. Anyway, I must say,
Riverside Cineplex pales in comparison to Star Cineplex. The popcorn over at the former is ... um, 'chalky', and the biggest size for drinks there is too little for me. Then again, the seat are mostly ... handicapped, you might say. To compensate for that, Wall-E is a worth-watching tearjerker at the very least. Or maybe it's just me being emotional. After that, we met up with the ShaSu pair and hung out at Parkson. I was on a severely tight budget (I left my wallet at home), so I avoided purchasing anything unless it was necessary. So for lunch I just bought myself 2 empty buns (they are actually pretty good) and shared wedges with Sharon at KFC. The others were chatting while I looked about for any signs of my idol. Seriously, no dice. Went
home, feigned oblivion for the fact that there was tuition that night to allow myself more time to game. Yay.
5th day - I got a notice from Sesco. For the next day, they will close down electricity supplies in my neighbourhood for maintenance from 12 p.m. till 5 p.m. Man, that seriously wrecked me up. If I knew, I would have stayed at home during Tuesday and only went to practice on Thursday since I can't game during daytime. Somehow this holiday is just packed full with regrets. I would seriously die for the ability to foresee the future at anytime. Wait, if I die, technically I wouldn't be able to use it. Dur hurr. Gurr hurr. NERD RAGE. NERDDDDDD RAGEEEEE (No, I'm not the nerd, this
is just line I picked up from saoshyant, a user over at GFAQs). But dang, if Sesco was tryin' to take me down, yo, I'll face 'em head-on. Mano-o-mano man. Okay. So my plan was to play till Thursday morning, to compensate for the 5 hours that I will lose the next day.
6th day - P4 drill, up till 6 a.m. from last night. I drank a Red Bull at 2 for the extra stamina, then I discovered (and shall patent) this extraordinary technique to stay awake (not clipping pegs on face, I tried 'em, but no dice man, they hurt): Put an ice pack into your clothes, right on the skin. The extreme level of stimulus will ... INVIGORATE your body. Seriously. I did not yawn even once while the ice pack stayed freezing cold. I pwned Persona 4 at level 83. 113 hours on first playthrough, guys. Much faster than my first run on P3 (123 hours). I'll post more about it ... this weekend, or hopefully earlier. I quickly embraced slumber after I got my true ending (Never More is an awesome ending theme). Up till ... uh, yeah, 12. I was waken by the sudden halt of air-conditioning in my room. Extra-sensory, I am. I tried to sleep again. Epic fail. At 1 p.m. ... no, BEFORE 1 p.m., the lights came back. Whoever guessed I wasted my time pulling an all-nighter just hit it on the right spot. I wish I have the ability to waste Sesco officials' time too. That would be sooooooooooo sweet ~~~
Last 3 days - Except for marking the start of my moodiness because of the emptiness P4 left behind, nothing noteworthy.
